Unabridged Audiobook
Oh my. Somebody get me a plot. Two thirds of the way through , I am still trying to figure out the point of this book since it is apparent we aren't getting much of a plot. The descriptions of coloring techniques and clients were amusing for the first ten minutes but after that they are a boor. And there is no humor to the book whatsoever. Making it worse, the reader is overly theatrical, the dialog is trite. I'd put it on your do not read list.
Eh. Maybe you have to be a hairdresser to appreciate it. I did find some parts interesting - mainly the descriptions of the over-the-top clients of this fabulous Manhattan hair salon. The rest of the story, though, just seemed to limp along. The narrator's French accent was mildly amusing.
