Summary
In this gripping page-turner, an ex-agent on the run from her former employers must take one more case to clear her name and save her life.

She used to work for the U.S. government, but very few people ever knew that. An expert in her field, she was one of the darkest secrets of an agency so clandestine it doesn't even have a name. And when they decided she was a liability, they came for her without warning.

Now she rarely stays in the same place or uses the same name for long. They've killed the only other person she trusted, but something she knows still poses a threat. They want her dead, and soon. When her former handler offers her a way out, she realizes it's her only chance to erase the giant target on her back. But it means taking one last job for her ex-employers.

To her horror, the information she acquires only makes her situation more dangerous. Resolving to meet the threat head-on, she prepares for the toughest fight of her life but finds herself falling for a man who can only complicate her likelihood of survival. As she sees her choices being rapidly whittled down, she must apply her unique talents in ways she never dreamed of.

In this tautly plotted novel, Meyer creates a fierce and fascinating new heroine with a very specialized skill set. And she shows once again why she's one of the world's bestselling authors.

Meyers has done it again - Something different and fabulous. Fast paced and intriguing. The narrator does a great job voicing the characters - different timbres and styles for each character. Even a few accents. Only criticism - the chapter announcements are really perky against the tension of the plot. But that is an extremely minor complaint.

I never cared for her other series so I was very hesitant to get this one. So glad I did. Great pace, action, intrigue, love the characters. For anyone who is on the fence, give it a go and enjoy the ride!

OMG!! I’ve listened to this book twenty times!!! This would make a great movie, but they’d probably make it R rated with lots of guts. The writing was not gorey (yeah however you spell that) and I really liked all the characters. Needs a sequel! Narrator was excellent!!! Loved how she could bring everyone to life without needing someone else to do the guys’ voices

Great story. The epilogue kinda lost me, though. Overall, I enjoyed this read very much.

LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! It's the female version of Jason Bourne. you expect some cliches because it's obviously just a story but I feel like the author did a great job. I didnt know she was the Twilight author until I looked her up when halfway through the book. I never enjoyed reading a book quite like this. every second of the day I just wanted to keep listening. It was like a movie and I will definitely listen to this again soon. Right now it's favorite of 2016-2017 because it hit every genre, action, thrilling, romance and the story was just good. I loved it, and I dont know how others wouldnt.

This was amazing, a mix of Jason Borne with some characters and scientific and chemical genius of lemon like Rosalind Franklin or Marie Currie. A great book!

Entertaining story. Told from the perspective of the heroine (shocker ha ha). Similar in tone to the host but more grounded in our world. I actually liked it better than I thought I would. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys any of Stephenie Meyer's other works. The narrator was very good. The only thing that stood out for me was her angry male voice was the same for several of the characters. Other than that, it was very professional and his enunciation was perfect.

I want Stephanie Meyer to write so many more books like this one! I was captivated- it is a little slow at first but once I got into it I was enamored. I even made my mother read it!

Ugh. Took a long time to get into the very predictable plot. It would have helped if I liked the main character, but her personality was simply boring. I would have liked to have known more about who she was, what she wanted out of life, and why I should care about what happens to her.

This isn’t my normal genre of choice. So I was hesitant on buying it but I am SO glad I did. It was so well written. It’s a nice fast pace; not even once was there a boring moment. The narrator was excellent too. There have been times I quit listening to books because the narrator wasn’t good or had an irritating voice, but this woman nailed it. I’d say this is my new favorite and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good page turner. Loved every second.

Very predictable, but still an okay story. You could see everything coming a mile away.

This book had great potential but didn't really deliver. I was expecting it to pick up and it never really did. Also, the personalities of the characters were so unbelievable that I lost interest early on. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. Meh.

Way to much boring detail and not near enough interesting story. The main character was so unbelievable that I was taken out the story early on. Having said the above the concept was good just not executed well......
