Really enjoyed listening to these awesome tales by the Grimm brothers. I love the imagination, it really comes to life like I was there experiencing it. I recommend this book of fairytales to young and old alike. The narrators are very good. Some I liked more than the others. but all in all they were all good.

Got the job done. Since these are volunteer readers, some are better than others. They are all clear. But, there is little differentiation of characters regarding voices, so an old man and a young girl will sound the same. Emotions are portrayed adequately. Still, these are volunteers who are doing the best they can, and it’s free! For one reader I could sometimes hear vehicles drive by which caused me to look toward my road. She reads a good handful of stories, and I think I got fooled the first time it happened for each story. OK, I got fooled several times for each story.

Great stories! Thank you to the narrators, I love to hear it. My grandmother used to tell me these stories when I was a little, it's wonderful to revisit this human legacy that Grimm wrote down.

Ever wonder where Disney got all their ideas? From this 19th century classic. Read by various narrators, fair through excellent.

Short weird little old stories! So amazing listen to and understand how the stories have been retold and changed into something else overtime. Some of them are incredibly bizarre. The volunteers at librivox do a good job but some of the recordings were difficult to listen to.

The several narrators were mostly so bad, I couldn’t reach the end of the tales. Only one or two were good enough. My advice is not to accept anyone and test them before entrusting them with the recording.
