Very good story! Hooked from the start! I went into book one apprehensively but love every minute!

Very entertaining story, better than expected. Would have expected a better reading though from McCormick. Sounded way too "mature" for a young girl's story. Still, you got used to it.

This is a great story. The characters are so real and I find myself drawn to them and hoping they beat the sadistic rulers of their world. In some ways, this reminds me of 1984 where people live in fear of their rulers. I'm eager to listen to all of the remaining books! Definitely worth listening or reading! In terms of the narrator, I've heard better narrators who are capable of changing their voices to match the different characters. Her voice for the young people, especially Katniss, sounds too old and not significantly different from her narrator's voice.

Great book! Love the detail and growing storyline. I'd like the narrator to have a bit more voice characterization, but she did an awesome job nonetheless.

This is a good book but the narrator sounds much older than the characters which is kind of annoying. Well worth the listen though.

After watching and totally enjoying the movie, I NEEDED to read the book so I could become part of the experience that the author truly intended for the reader. I soon found myself lost in a world in which every action, every decision means the difference between life and death; not only for Kat, but also for her family and her friends. Government meant to protect the people utilizes advanced technology, legend, religion, and humans\' natural responses toward threat and the need to survive to oversee the districts.... turning power and knowledge into games in which the people are finding that everything that they believe true..... is not.....or is it? Leaves reader wanting more.....and more....and.....
