Summary
This story surrounds a child waif, a young woman, a young gentleman doctor, and an elderly lady. This tale unfolds the story of a bond that brings these unlikely friends together and merges their separate paths of life into one common path. The bond is "Dumps", or "Pompey", the "doggie". With many twists, turns, and uncertainties, the ending may surprise the reader. All's well that ends well in this doggie "tail". (Introduction by Allyson Hester)

I struggled to the end of chapter one and abandoned this book. How could a book, which is clearly set in London (England) be treated in such a disrespectful manner? We are assailed by a hideous female deep south drawl when the principal character is clearly male and British. Please assign readers more suited to the subject matter. A waste of my money!

Fun story, if fairly predictable. Good narration.

The book is precious. This volunteer was kind enough to take time away from her life to record this book free of charge. If someone could do better than volunteer your time other wise be more polite.

I found the talk over a very annoying voice and put me off the book
