Unabridged Audiobook
This story has everything…including a not so happy ending. Complex plot, many characters and simultaneous intrigue and treachery. It is a very long read and although I got used to the narrator her accent is quite pronounced (strongly northeastern) which was mildly distracting.
Totally enjoyed this novel amazing storyline characters and great storytelling
One of the more intense and tangled Braddon tales I've encountered, this one features a ruthless arch-villain who damages and destroys a whole slew of innocent (and too-trusting) characters who stand in the way of his ambition. The primary heroine, Lady Honoria, who determines to foil him has not one but two murderers from her past whose sordid plots crisscross to wreak havoc on her and pretty much everyone. Another fun sensation novel that has no end of secrets, trauma, and revelations.
