Always been a fan and after having Billy himself read to me these great stories of his life, I am thankful and am even bigger fan now.
Very touching, but definitely could have left out the F.... Word. It took away from the material and just didn't work!
Mediocre. I didn't finish it. Some of the crude humor was insulting to healthy men who maintain their sexual vigor. Lay off the rich food and cigars, Billy.
One of the best. Billy makes you feel like and old friend having a conservation about life. As he would say “Marvelous!”
Don't let the one star fool you. I WANT to rate it ZERO OR LESS. He's too much of a comedic genius to stoop to such cheap, banal, profane, foul and trashy delivery. You disappoint and degrade yourself, Billy Crystal. You must really hate yourself so much that you need to sustain that self loathing through this sad, pitiful, pathetic demonstration of your worst side...of what is at the core of your being. Anyone can be an arse-hole. It would have only taken a little effort for you to not be one. I used to like BC. My previous esteem for him has been forever ruined. Hated the book. Hated that he doesn't realize he doesn't have to spew sewage to be funny. Got my money back. Don't waste yours.
Great book to listen to.
I've always loved Billy Crystal so I knew this would be a great book to listen to. I'm amazed at all of the things he comes up with. What a wonderful, funny life he's led! Great audiobook!
This was my first audiobook and my first Billy Cystal book. I really enjoyed the experience and wanted the story to continue for a few more days!! My only small gripe is that there was too much "name dropping" for my liking. Looking forward to his next book.
I loved the way he wove the entire book together. He infused the threads of his stories from the beginning to end with a love of life, his fellow human beings, and his incredible resilience in the tough spots. His narration reflects his work ethic and drive to hone his skills throughout his life. He delivers here with an amazing performance possible. It's an inspiration.
Loved every word. Billy is a beautiful story teller and I was sorry when the book ended. He had a remarkable life, with more life to come. Next book? I'll be waiting!

Starts out good and becomes great as it goes along. Fascinating stories, great impressions, and great insight into his family relationships. There are touching moments and sad moments, so keep tissues nearby. I agree with another reviewer who said that it would be improved without all the F bombs. In fairness it was sometimes used in quoting someone else and was effective in telling you what kind of person they were. But many other throw-away uses as well.
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed hearing his stories. I like hearing what helps make a person who they are, at least the version of the person that we know.

I really enjoyed listening to Billy Crystal. And often I burst out in laughter and on a few occations I googled to find out if he was telling the truth. A book really worth listening to.

I really enjoyed listen to this book and laughed out loud a lot! Great that Billy did the narration and I liked the section that were recorded in front of a live audience. I would definitely recommend this book.

Billy Crystal is outstanding. This heartfelt and intriguing account of his life is perfectly narrated and continually engaging. I laughed and cried and was disappointed when it was over. Bravo Mr. Crystal. Bravo!
I laughed out loud, giggled, was surprised, and even cried; I felt connected from the very first line. What an amazing life he has led. What a great entertainer and storyteller! Great book.

Enjoyed Billy's lifetime experiences and views on aging very much. His blend of serious reflection on life and his ability to laugh at same are a marvellous and entertaining combination. He's the kind of guy you'd want to spend a day with. Pretty terrific to hear it all in his own words! G. Barker

The book was very entertaining. I enjoyed the non-live chapters more than the chapters read in front of a live audience. The overlay of funny stuff with real life stories was terrific. The fact that the man himself read it just made it that much better.
