I am sure it’s a great story but recording and narrator totally inaudible, had to abandon.

Fantastic even though the narrators struggle sometimes with the old translations it was totally enthralling.

Great story! Some of the narrators do pretty good… My advice is, Don't get discouraged with the chapters that are not so great to listen to, The overall story is worth it. I think it was chapter 14 of volume one that was almost painful to listen to.

the recording is to blurred to understand the narrator.

The narration is horrific. The narrator skips chapters and can’t figure out which accent to imitate. If your interested in listening to a narrator that imitates four separate accents while reading one sentence, this book is four you!

No story to technical

This is a masterpiece, continuously undermined and undone by droning, inarticulate narrators. If you do not know how to pronounce a word, then find out, before dictating into a microphone. Some of the narrators were quite good, but were let down by their less able compatriots. The sound quality of the first six chapters is also awful, rendering most of it completely unintelligible.

Totally inaudible on any device. The breakthrough parts I could make out before totally giving up sound like it is an amazing book. It’s the free library tho. It’s all on volunteers and no budget. It also skips chapter 2. I couldn’t get passed chapter 3. I tried on 3 different devices with all noise cut out. It’s just the recording.

The recording quality is quite poor. It might have been a better listen had the audio been clean.

I would say this book would have been good, Narration in most chapters was good, but not enough for me to complete this book

The narrator is horrible

Worst sound I have heard on an audio book. It sounds like the reader is in a tunnel with static. I could hardly hear what she was saying. She wasn’t a very interesting reader either. The story is a good one, and I was very disappointed that I couldn’t finish listening but I had to stop at the beginning of the 2nd chapter.

For what ever reason, on my system the sound is almost indecernable, as though the reader was muffled.

Can’t even listen past the first couple of minutes the recording is terrible

The audio quality is so bad, I was unable to go past the first chapter

The sound is very muffled. Could hardly understand the narrator. Did not like.

The story is great but narrative for the second half is awful. He keeps trying to give American characters British accents. And he breaks up sentences so that they don’t make sense. Doesn’t help that he keeps burping and yawning either.

Narration is horrible. No continuity with her recording.Could not finish the book.

Too many missing chapters made it confusing at times

The story is great and will never change. I believe there may be a chapter or two missing. The different reading styles are a little distracting. Some are better than others, some are even amusing. What do you want? It's a free audiobook of a classic tale.
