Terry Pratchett is a talented author......this book was quite amusing.

This was OK. Could have been better. As it seems the norm in our day, there were almost no male characters. A stupid wizard, and old man unable to care for him self, and a bunch of pixie men who lived to get drunk and fight. That's the scope of men in this story. It's all about woman and girls. And they don't need men. Not that this is bad, but it's rather fake. Probably the reason it isn't a great book. My guess is the author has a deep resentment of a mans strength and abilities. Oh, and the Hiver, although it's a evil demon, the voice is male. After all, witches are good and men are stupid or bad

I was hopeful for a book about current social norms. However, I think this book was meant for a younger crowd, perhaps 18 to 24ish. The gratuitous swearing, the oversimplified analysis, wasn't too impressive. But it might be useful for someone trying to figure out why their college relationships keep failing...

It's fun, funny, enchanting, and has great insights into life and people, all at the same time. I kept thinking that this might be the sort of thing that would have been written if J.K. Rowling and Douglas Adams had done the Harry Potter stories together (and I mean that as a compliment all around).

It's LOL funny, but also simple and humble. What else can I say.

So incredible! I would recommend this highly to young and old.

Another quirky work from Terry Pratchett. Second in the Tiffany Aching series. My son is a big Tiffany Aching fan, so I rented this for him - but I listened to it too! This book follows Tiffany and her merry band of Nac Mac Feegle on another quest. The narrator is excellent - my son still walks around the house imitating the Feegle's accent. A good, light-hearted, fun, laugh-out-loud listen.

Terry Pratchet has the most amazing imagination. This book was delightful! Funny, silly, crazy...give me more! LOVED it! And the narrator just makes it all the better with all the accents and voices. Great Stuff!

I laugh out loud at some parts; I am struck and must spend a moment in reflection on what Pratchett has to say in others. I highly recommend this and other books by Terry Pratchett to those who enjoy a truly original and off beat fantasy writer whose wacky world oddly and often accurately reflects our own.
