Summary
In late December 2008, New York Times bestselling author Ian Halperin told the world that Michael Jackson had only six months to live. His investigations into Jackson's failing health made headlines around the globe. Six months later, the King of Pop was dead.

Whatever the final autopsy results reveal, it was greed that killed Michael Jackson. Friends and associates paint a tragic picture of the last years and days of his life as Jackson made desperate attempts to prepare for the planned concert series at London's O2 Arena in July 2009. These shows would have earned millions for the singer and his entourage, but he could never have completed them, not mentally and not physically.

Michael knew it and his advisers knew it. Anyone who caught even a fleeting glimpse of the frail old man hiding beneath the costumes and cosmetics would have understood that the London tour was madness. Why did it happen this way? After an intense five-year investigation, Halperin uncovers the real story of Michael Jackson's final years, a suspenseful and surprising thriller.

I dont like the way they mimic Michael's speaking voice. Its distractingly bad and feels like mockery. At the very least like terrible acting. If the author thinks that this is a tasteful way to go on the audiobook, I cant imagine the book has any more quality to it.

how can an author tell anyone how long a person has to live??? unless he was in on Michael's death. kinda odd to me...you think it's cool to say he was going to die then he dies??? you should be investigated whether or not you killed him. don't read this book. its trash. this dude ain't no doctor so his bull about Michael had 6 months to live is just that. bull!!!!!

I too thought that there were many parts of this book that were the same reading of the transcripts word for word. Sometimes, there were some interesting tidbits and takes on things, but mainly it was the reciting of transcripts.

I was very disappointed; this was mostly about Michael's court cases and very little about his life. I finally gave up on the book when he started reading transcripts from the court trials, verbatim, going on and on, reading every word that lawyers said. The reader tries too hard; don't know what he is trying to sound like, to the point of annoyance. He sounds like he's making a commercial for deodorant.

Dissappointing unless you are really into all the details of his child molestation issues. I had hoped that it might have gone into more background on him and maybe what made him as "quirky" as he seemed to be in the later years. It may have but I couldn't get through all the details on the child molestation issues. Too depressing and detailed for me.

Simply awful. The narrator had a slight speech impediment which is distracting, but that was nothing compared to the rambling, self-promoting text of the author. Dismal.

This is an awful, boring, book. You could complete this book in two CD"s, I know becaused I skipped through #3-7 and did not miss a thing. Another sad attempt at exploitation of the life of a person now dead. Don't waste your time with this one.
