Summary
A Greek family. An Indian family. A summer wedding on the Aegean coast . . .

Meet Moti Ferreira-spectacularly jinxed from the day she's born.

Saddled with an eccentric mother, she stumbles upon the one man who holds the key to her freedom-the best man at her cousin's upcoming wedding.

All Moti has to do is overcome her fear of water, board a yacht to the Greek Isles, seduce the dreamy Nikos Manolas, and survive two weeks at sea with her oddball family.

The only obstacle Moti doesn't see coming is Alexandros Veronis, the onboard chef and star witness to her awkward mishaps. He transforms onions into chocolate and aroma into nostalgia. Day by day, his alchemy works its magic on Moti. But she's not the only one falling under his spell. Everyone has a secret, growing round and ripe at Chef Alex's table. When the masks fall off, they spill out one by one, and everything blows up in their faces.

Now Moti's truth is exposed, and worse, she's hooked on more than Alex's midnight snacks. But this time, screwing up could be the best thing she's ever done . . .

Contains mature themes.

Moti on the Water is a story about family, values, and long-held traditions. Moti is the daughter of Indian parents who, along with her family, are traveling to Greece to attend a family wedding. Hilarity and some bickering ensue as they embark on a two-week cruise to the wedding destination. Moti's mother, Dolly, is overbearing and utterly content with her daughter not marrying unless it is to Nikos Manolas. And so, Moti is determined to win the man of her mother's dreams until fate steps in and reveals a different path. I thoroughly enjoyed Moti on the Water. The family antics and their unfiltered comments reminded me of my family reunions. I laughed, felt joy, and a touch of sadness for this family; however, nothing comes together better than family. Siiri Scott was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed her narration. Alexander Cendese has only a few chapters from Alex's POV near the end.

All Moti has to do is overcome her fear of water, board a yacht to the Greek Isles, seduce the dreamy Nikos Manolas, and survive two weeks at sea with her oddball family. The only obstacle Moti doesn’t see coming is Alexandros Veronis, the onboard chef and star witness to her awkward mishaps. This was a sweet contemporary, opposites attract romance!! I absolutely loved Moti and Alex. They were great together and I loved the chemistry between them. The narration was enjoyable as well.

Cute contemporary love story. Narrator was good with the Indian and Greek accents.

This was my first Leylah Attar’s book. Moti and Alex's story is well written, original, sweet, romantic, and entertaining. Moti is such a wonderful and colorful character! She is sassy, and feisty. Alexandros (Alex) is very handsome, and caring. the cast of supporting characters is impressive! Moti’s family is hilarious, and entertaining! Alex's family is amazing! I liked the romance and the humor in the story. Some scenes are hilarious. Siiri Scott was perfect as Moti! I loved how she brings this character to life. Since the story is mostly told from Moti's POV, Alexander Cendese only did a small part of the narration. He did a great job as Alex. This is an excellent Romantic Comedy / Women Fiction, and the perfect Summer Read.
