Summary
The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

With Robert Jordan’s untimely passing in 2007, Brandon Sanderson, the New York Times bestselling author of the Mistborn novels and the Stormlight Archive, was chosen by Jordan’s editor—his wife, Harriet McDougal—to complete the final volume in The Wheel of Time®, later expanded to three books.

The Gathering Storm, the twelfth novel in Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, begins the story’s dramatic conclusion as Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, struggles to unite a fractured network of kingdoms and alliances in preparation for the Last Battle.

War is coming. The Dark One’s forces are brutal and unrelenting. Rand must forge a united front, but the Seanchan remain an immediate threat, as do the Forsaken. With so many shadows swirling around him, Rand is consumed by his responsibilities, turning heartless in the eyes of his allies, and even more merciless to his enemies.

Meanwhile the Seanchan march on the White Tower, where Egwene al'Vere works to rally the disparate factions of the Aes Sedai together, even as their tyrannical leader schemes against her. Providing leadership in the face of increasing uncertainty and despair, Egwene’s fight will prove the mettle of the Aes Sedai, and her conflict will decide the future of the White Tower—and possibly the world itself.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

The whole series is too wordy. Way too long. It could have been 4 books.

Brandon Sanderson did it again! He improved on this already incredible series, fantastic read. I love Michael Kramer. Kate Reading is okay, but Kramers interpretation resonates with me more. Great book.

Sanderson does a great job at beginning the ending of the Wheel of Time.

Incredible introduction to honor Robert Jordan. This book touched on storyline we have been waiting for within most characters, almost done with the series

I love the entire book series, and I have read the previous parts translated into Finnish. This was the first episode I listened to in English and the readers were really great.

From reading and listening on the earlier books in Swedish I thought it would be hard to listen and understand the books on English, but I was so wrong. The narrators are very good and better then the Swedish narrator. The English grammatic in the books is easy also.

This book breathes new life into the series for me. Sanderson has reinvigorated it while holding true to the amazing world that Jordan created. Looking forward to the last two.

Perfekt much needed rampup and glorious payoffs. If you as me read the earlier books growing up and then stopped somewhere along the way. I can really recommend finishing the series.

Had a few spots that were static and missed a couple minutes

Audio: Great narration and good audiobook, thought it went back to that 5 minute track style instead of simply using chapters to mark the tracks. I prefer the latter. Book: After returning to form in Knife of Dreams it seems the series is fully back on track, as this volume was another great read. Refreshing. Not to diss RJ, but I prefer Sanderson.

The book is amazing. It is horribly annoying that the audio skips and has distorted sounds, no matter how infrequently it happens.

Fantastic book!! Rating is due to it being unavailable in my region (Australia) despite books 1-11 being available as well as book 13 being available.

Absolutely the best in the series so far! I loved how it was ending and leading us to an even more exciting book. We jumped right into the next one. This book would be much less exciting without the readers. They do this great work justice!

It was a beautiful work of art that was incomplete by the passing of the original author Robert Jordan. Brandon Sanderson stepped up and did the book and the series justice. The readers, Michael Kramer and Kate Redding, are fabulous and convey the emotions of the characters and the author’s mind’s eye. This book is my third favorite in the series after the first, The Eye if the World, and the last, A Memory of Light.

The change of author hasn't lessened this series in any way. This book is every bit the good read that all previous wheel of time books are. Whole heartedly recommended if you're a Robert Jordan fan.

The new author did a great job of continuing the series in the style of Robert Jordan, which is a good thing, because I'm anxious to hear how this series will finally conclude.

Try as I might, I couldn't find a flaw in the work of the fill-in author. Although he states in his foreward that he did not try to reproduce Robert Jordan's voice, he sure did a fine job of it. Pacing, narrative style, characterizations -- all remarkable. As a fan, I was amazed that he didn't miss a beat in picking up the scattered pieces and moving on.
