really enjoyed this book
Great kickoff to an amazing and hilarious group of characters who with their own set of friends find love along the way. Best series I've heard as are most relatable though of course these men have unlimited wealth so definitely helps. The women don't care about their money though and hold their own which makes this series that much more enjoyable. Kline is definitely the most swoon-worthy! His best friend Thatch is definitely a character full of confidence, swagger and fast sarcasm ladies love. Georgia's aka Benny, (once read and you'll understand and appreciate Kline's lady love) bff Cassie finds Thatch attractive but doesn't fall over herself for him which he's not used to and so attracted to her. Her quick wit and sassy fiestiness pulls him in more and it sets a pace for them. They are male and female versions of each other and it's a fun wild ride. Kline and Georgia's story truly sets great tone for this series as introduces each set of friends and other characters that round out this close knit set of couples. You definitely don't want to miss out on each of their stories. They're all tied together but each have own and different personalities that keeps everything interesting and mixes it up. Kline and Benny start out meeting online or is from working together? Hmm...makes interesting twist. Georgia definitely marches to her own beat and will love her honesty that blends with her sense of humor. Once you find out about her parent, well mother's profession definitely makes more sense and that much more humorous. They both have great wit and see why so compatible. Kline definitely will make you swoon and is such a gentleman but oh behind closed doors turns that heat up and scorches the place? Cassie is Georgia's best friend and roommate. Their friendship is timeless and they call each other out. If they had their own story it would be an amazing read. The fact they are so close and have their own stories intertwined only makes sense. as same for friendship between Kline and Thatch. So, Thatch and Cassie are introduced to one another in an interesting twist as online dating profiles of Kline is of Thatch and Georgia's is of Cass under online surnames. It gets sorted out after misunderstanding on all sides but nice way to throw them in the mix and we get to know them better in the 2nd story which focuses more on Thatch and Cassie as they get closer and the lengths they go to one up each other are so over the top but so them as try to deny their true feelings. Kline and Benny's story does mix into theirs so just continuation as they all continue on in life and their relationships. It's truly a blast and won't want to stop reading and feeling like part of this wonderful circus and group of friends. Wes is Thatch and Kline's other close friend. He's also loaded as owns the local football team. He's definitely more of lone wolf and often picked on because of grumpy demeanor. Kline gets it too but he's a thinker and lover. Wes doesn't believe in love and while Thatch doesn't as a "ladies man" he's definitely the most extroverted of group. Wes is always giving Thatch & Kline grief about love lives as again he doesn't believe and even against it. However, he does find himself feeling a strong pull towards his newly hired Dr for his team. Of course they butt heads at beginning. They are very attracted to one another but she has goals for herself and has a daughter. Wes fights his attraction towards her by testing her and even questioning her decisions for his players. They go a few rounds but tensions only build more and of course can only last for so long before something gives and eventually they both do. This rounds off the series. Be sure to follow it up with them as they all then go on vacation together. I will say that I was not as into Wes and Winnie's story but I think it was due to the narrator's of each on this one. I don't like saying that because don't like to be judgemental but the voice when listening to a story does matter. I'm not the biggest fan of Joe but could have gotten through it. Maxine unfortunately I just cannot listen to. I'm so sorry but just a personal opinion. I have tried but for a female she doesn't work for me and I'll leave at that. It's hard to leave that as it's a review so will see and don't like that but again when only voice to go on when listening to story it does make a difference. Overall great series and truly cannot recommend enough. This was my introduction into Max Monroe as author and have went on to enjoy other books which have tied a couple of these characters into their stories, not as much but there are mentions which was nice to read. An extremely talented writer and grateful for introduction!
