Unabridged Audiobook
There’s a reason I both read and listen to every Minerva Spencer/S.M. LaViolette novel I can grab. The author’s story lines are fresh, full of wit, and so well written that I never worry about wasting my money. Here, Spencer has captured the soul of a sculptor in a woman who has been dealt several blows, but finds she is strong enough to carry the load. She shines when she is hired to design an architectural garden for a preoccupied man who comes off as aloof. When she becomes attracted to him, she teases and taunts the clueless man. As always, I laughed. I swooned. I cried, and happily the narrator was spot on. I love strong women. “The Figure of Love” is right up there in my favorites.
