Duration: 9 hours 8 minutes

Summary:

History comes alive in this fascinating story of opposing views that continue to play a fundamental role in today's politics and economics, due to the turbulent lives and battle of ideas of the three most influential economists in world history: Adam Smith, Karl Marx, and John Maynard Keynes.

Genres:

  • Alan Peterson

IMO, this author has a strong bias toward classical economics. The book is a long argument in favor of (his view of) Adam Smith and against Marx and Keynes. I tired of this by two thirds of the way through and stopped listening. On the other hand, I have a lot to learn about economics and did learn from this book.
