Unabridged Audiobook
Winslow was on e of my favorite authors. This is a great story ruined by political statements. Too bad the author chose too let his politics ruin it.
Wow could have been a great read but his political statements just absolutely ruined this book. It is ok to voice point of views but it was so overwhelming bias it took away from what was an interesting look at the danger of Mexican Cartels as an international danger and one that should be labeled as an enemy of the United States.
a waste of money
I have logged thousands of hours of audiobooks over the past several years, and this trilogy by Don Winslow, narrated by Ray Porter, is the best combination of writing and performance, that I have found. You won’t regret it.
Loved the 1st 2 books but this one was really all about his hate for Trump. Not saying i disagree but he ruined the book.
I really enjoyed the prior two books, I feel let down that the author felt it necessary to become a political nut job with what could have been a great read. This author has gone completely crazy and I am truly saddened that I will never read him again. You can be for the other party, you can dislike the candidate but to throw out slanderous lie after slanderous lie like you’re working for the Democratic Party or MSNBC is enough to make this former fan sick at heart.
I wonder if this author has the guts to write a sequel- he could build it around a fictional drug addict son of a president - maybe he could call him Brandon.
Worth the anticipation!!!! Winslow is one of my favorite authors! One reviewer complained about the authors partisanship. BS! This story is raw, entertaining as hell and steeped in reality. I love how Winslow uses an alternative idea of the corruption the president's son in law is involved in that is just as nefarious as the real president's son in law could be involved with. Great great story!
