Summary
A seasoned journalist chases down the biggest story in history.

The Project: Determine if there's credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God. The Reporter: Lee Strobel, educated at Yale Law School, award-winning former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune--with a background of atheism. The Experts: A dozen scholars, with doctorates from Cambridge, Princeton, Brandeis, and other top-flight institutions, who are recognized authorities on Jesus. The Story: Retracing his own spiritual journey, Strobel cross-examines the experts with tough, point-blank questions:

- How reliable is the New Testament?
- Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible?
- Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual historical event?

This audio adaptation of Lee Strobel's remarkable Gold Medallion Award-winning book packs the energy of a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it's not fiction. It's a riveting quest for the truth about history's most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ?

Excellent book! Definitely not the end of the discussion but it is an excellent start and Lee Strobel recognizes that. The book is well researched, we presented, and honest about its perspective, uses and limitations. Whether you are a Christian or not many people today have a lot of misconceptions about Christ and the Bible and the credibility of the evidence for either/both. This book does a good job shedding some light on why the evidence is much stronger than one would typically think. I would recommend this book for both Christians and non-Christians who want to intelligently consider the case for or against the authenticity of Christ. It's an excellent introduction to some of the major areas of evidence and gist of the argument in favor of Christ in that category. It presents some of the major arguments against Christ and then offers a cogent rebuttal. Even if a skeptic is not ultimately won over, I think any reader giving a good faith assessment would have to concede that the evidence presented in he book is enough to give one pause.

If this book's intention was to convert non-christians into followers of Christ - it didn't succeed with this listener. My main concern with the interviews by the author is that none of the interviewees are skeptics. This leads to a one-sided perspective and feels forced in my opinion. However, I did find it interesting how many scholars spend their whole life studying and teaching a subject that ultimately seems pointless.

Was somewhat disappointed, spent a lot of time giving all the credits the scholars had and the books they wrote. That doesn't mean they were right. They are opinions and speculations in many areas. Took a shot at Mormons and Evangelic Christians. I am a Christian, but the writer seems to be impressed with himself about his change in life he made rather than the spirit of Christ. Some info was good but his self pride comes through.

This is one of my favorite books. There is no doubt, Jesus is who He said He was! I have bought 2 of these books to give away, and will continue to purchase more for friends and family whom I believe need their eyes opened ! Thanks so much for this perspective Lee.

I really enjoyed listening to this book every chance I had. I got sober 4 years ago and "know" God through the events in my life & have persuing Him since. This book is the logical, to my emotional. I have the hard copy and plan to read & listen again taking notes and doing my own research, so to speak. Thank you!! Leigh
