Summary
Catch Me If You Can is the true story of Frank W. Abagnale—alias Frank Williams, Robert Conrad, Frank Adams, and Robert Monjo—one of the most daring con men, forgers, imposters, and escape artists in history.

In his brief but notorious criminal career, Abagnale donned a pilot’s uniform and copiloted a Pan Am jet, masqueraded as the supervising resident of a hospital, practiced law without a license, passed himself off as a sociology professor, and cashed over $2.5 million in forged checks—all before he was twenty-one. Abagnale lived a sumptuous life on the lam—until the law caught up with him.

Now recognized as the nation’s leading authority on financial foul play, Abagnale is a charming rogue whose hilarious, stranger-than-fiction international escapades and ingenious escapes make Catch Me If You Can an irresistible tale of deceit.

I love this book and it's hero. He is the most interesting man you would ever hear about. He was definitely lucky on many occasions but his intelligence and confidence made him the most successful con man. The captured the story well but simplified it for the audience when in reality the Mr. Abagnale mischievous plans were much more elaborate. The only flaw this book has is that it doesn't tell how Frank started working for the government and what happened to all the money he stole ;).

Fascinating story & well read. The ending, however, seemed abrupt.

Spellbinding story! Well written and captivating!

While the story itself was engaging and well written, the "hero" was not very likeable and the constant seemingly implausible (in this era) captures and escapes became tiresome towards the end. Hearing all the money he stole and all the problems he caused, knowing the ending was deeply unsatisfying. He's a "hero" you love to hate.

Really interesting to hear this guy's life story. The book has some great scenes that were left out of the movie so it was definitely worth it.

WOW!! I talked about this book for months after I heard it. I didn't see the movie, but the book was engaging, interesting and unbelievable (but I believe he did all those things, and more!). I would highly recommend this book for long road trips - it'll keep you awake and involved, waiting to find out what happens next. My only complaint is they didn't have a bit at the end to tell how he finally got caught. Expect a feeling of "and then?!" when you're through.

Fascinating and fully entertaining. Unbelievable to hear what this guy pulled off, and all while a teenager. I would read again and again. It made me watch the movie again, and pay much more close attention.

The movie was good the book has more details and is a better entertainment, well performed, funny, a joy to listen to and share with friends , I look forward to more works by Mr.Abagnale.

i really liked this book. its a wonderful true story, hard to believe a person like this young man could actually fool so many people for so long. he must have been quite charming. and after all his adventures, including the truly horrible time he spent in the french jail (how anyone could live in that state is awful to contemplate) to understand he is living today and working for the police force as a respectable and valuable employee. the movie was not exactly the same as the book but it made the story even better. i could listen to that one again and be just as fascinated.

I found this book very entertaining. Certainly kept me very alert during a very boring drive. I actually stayed in the car at the end of my destination to finish it off it was so good.

Having already seen the movie, I knew the basic story behind this book. But as always with books that have been made into movies, the book had a lot more detail. It was a very enjoyable read... it was light and interesting and didn't require much effort to absorb. The author did a surprisingly good job considering he is not a professional writer. However, he did tend to use an almost annoying amount of cheesy similies throughout the book. He was dropping similies like a rampaging bull with a case of the trots. His similies were as abundant as stray cats around a tuna truck roll over. To come up with all of them, he must have been as busy as a one armed paper hanger. (You get the picture.) But that still didn't take away from the charm of the book overall.

This book was great! It was fun and makes you wish you were a criminal! Frank does things that you can't believe he would get away with. The only thing I didn't like was that the ending is very abrupt and sort of a cliff-hanger. Lucky for me, I own the movie and watched the interview with Frank in the special features so I do know what happened, it just wasn't in the book. The 8 CDs go very quickly with this fast paced story. It'll leave you wanting more adventure!
