Unabridged Audiobook
Harrowing tale of the human spirit. Hooked from the first chapter. Amazing book that made me gasp, cry and smile.
I read the Tattooist before and wondered about the Cilka character. Great to read a book about her story. The work camps in Russia were terrible and I am sure Cilka endured a lot of pain, shame and dehumanising. I would have preferred if the narrator had a bit of an Eastern European accent, it would have helped the listening. Otherwise a wonderful book.
An amazing story of survival, compassion and the human spirt, beautifully narrated. Thank you Heather for taking us through Cilkas incredibly journey
