Maggi: Welcome to the show, Dr. Kathy Parslow who has a PhD in Orthomolecular Nutrition. I don’t even know what that is, but it sounds really smart. And, like you are going to be able to help us…
Dr. Kathy: It means right molecules. The reason for right molecules, back in the ‘70’s there were a few doctors who coined a psychiatry is orthomolecular, it’s just rather than just drug people you can figure out what molecule is missing in their body to correct their body chemistry. That’s kind of the short definition.
Maggi: Oh, I see. So, before I like to get started and ask you all these intimate questions about how to lose weight and keep it off the right way, I want to know what got you started in this journey?
Dr. Kathy: I was a professional ballet dancer and then I was a flight attendant. When I was younger, I always have the desire to work in – I thought I would be dietetic. But little did I know it was not going to be standard dietetic, my interest fell more into alternative natural whole prototype nutrition.
