How do you solve a mystery when you can't remember the clues?
Maud is forgetful. She makes a cup of tea and doesn't remember to drink it. She goes to the shops and forgets why she went. Sometimes her home is unrecognizable - or her daughter Helen seems a total stranger. But there's one thing Maud is sure of: her friend Elizabeth is missing. The note in her pocket tells her so. And no matter who tells her to stop going on about it, to leave it alone, to shut up, Maud will get to the bottom of it. Because somewhere in Maud's damaged mind lies the answer to an unsolved seventy-year-old mystery. One everyone has forgotten about. Everyone, except Maud . . .

It the Narrator who really made this story. She is very talented. The story itself is very close to the bone - frustrating, poignant, loving for both Maud and her daughter. A real eye opener into the mind of a person in the grips of dementia, and how others treat them through plain ignorance.

Amazing narrator. She made this story really come to life even more. I love how the story unfolds and how all the pieces fall into place at the end. Great listen!

The narrator is wonderful. The writing is very fluid ans focusses on the drawbacks ans side-effects on what is like to slowly lose your intellect. There are 2 mysteries in 1. A very good read.

Interesting read, it's great to get a perspective of someone in the grips of dementia and those around them. The book does drag on for a while but all fits together really nicely at the end.
