In 1901 London, as the precise social order of the Victorian era winds down and the forward-looking Edwardian order takes wing, three strangers meet in the city's stony Highgate Cemetery. Beautiful Lavinia revels in the elaborate trappings of the past. Plain Maude strives to shape the future. Simon Fields, a boy their age, is bound by poverty and professional to the emetery.

Love all her books. Woven like a magnificent tapestry

The story is seen through the eyes of all of the characters in the book. The main narrators are three children at the turn of the 20th century. I found the book interesting in the development of the characters' awareness and understanding of the real life around them. Not all of them are etched in stone: unchanging and unwavering in their convictions and desires for passion in their lives. I recommend this book.

This was an okay story, it was kind of slow and drawn out. I did not find any of the characters to be of real interest. There was no real intrigue. This would bo a good coming of age book for a teenage girl.

I stayed with it and not my favorite as I could tell what was going to happen.

Fallen Angels doesn't disappoint. The story is tightly woven with wonderful literary details, historical facts, drama, tragedy, and a voice of the early 20th century.
