Historian and Pulitzer Prize–winning author Barbara Tuchman has brought to life again the people and events that led up to World War I. This is one of the best books I have read on WWI. Since the fall of 2011 I have been reading books on WW1 and Barbara W. Tuchman book has been the most thorough and non-judgemental that I have read so far. She just lays out the facts starting from August 1 to the 31. She leaves it up to you to make whatever conclusions you wish. I was impressed with the amount of research Tuchman did in writing this book. She is a great historian. John Lee did a good job narrating the book. If you want to know about the start of WW1 this is by far the best book you could fine to provide the truth.
