The Hunt for Red October

I've watched the movie Hunt for Red October three or four times. Seldom do I watch a movie more than once; the movie has to be real good! After listening to the audio book, I rate the book better than the movie especially the ending. The movie would need to be ten hours long if it included the detailed accounting of the Hunt for Red October. Tom Clancy was a brilliant story teller and this book is proof of it. I give the book five stars!

Loved the book. The audio is a bit hard to follow but it's not a lack of effort on the narrator; there is just so much happening and going on.

I was so so pleased when Tom Clancys The Hunt for Red October made PBS Great American Read. I have watched this movie 25 times I own both Special Directors Cut on Dvd and Blu Ray versions. Something draws me in and I am glued.

Watched the movie several times. First time reading book. Movie didn’t follow book. Did enjoy the book. Couldn’t help but visualize Alex Baldwin as Jack Ryan. Narrator was good. He also did one of orson Scott cards book featuring character Bean.
