I'm Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I'm going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I'm getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart - the drop-dead gorgeous Logan, who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I'm afraid if I don't learn how to live by the sword - with Logan's help - I just might die by the sword...

First Thought: Gwen is really coming into her power. The Story: “Logan Quinn was trying to kill me.” Is the first sentence and the emotional theme of Kiss of Frost. Poor Gwen, she has to watch Logan suck face with Savannah. But then enters Preston, the blonde haired, blue eyed, very hot Viking from New York branch of Mythos. The students are excited for the yearly trip to a ski resort for the Winter Carnival, where Gwen meets the super cute Preston. But just when he looks like he could help Gwen forget about Logan, she learns that Preston has a secret. Gwen is still trying to find her place at Mythos Academy and dealing with the lost of her mother. She’s still just that Gypsy girl to most of the students but in Kiss of Frost Gwen finds herself with a new best friend and by the end of the book has is more friends. As Gwen tries to navigate through the hell that is teenage romance she learns that her Gypsy power is more than just seeing people’s secrets. It’s a true touch power and it doesn’t work one way. Issue(s) I had: The narration is still getting on my nerves a bit. I think the narrator pulls off the angsty teenager well and that's probably way I'm not enjoying it. LOL I'm just not a big YA reader/listener. But it’s a small price to pay. I’m not completely sold on Vic the sword talking either. But again this is a small matter that I can over look. Final Thoughts: Gwen has the potential of being a real warrior. I can’t wait to see how she continues to grow and how Logan will fit into her life. Will I Continue the Series? Yes. It’s just getting good!
