Loved it Fascinating insight into an oft told tale but supplying the facts without embellishments (via extraordinary research) kept all the characters three dimensional and human This serves up history just the way I like it I had discounted Alison Weir as an author having read The Captive Queen- now I can’t wait to read more of her stuff

A bit dry but very informative. Loved her research and thoroughness. Would recommend for historical education alone!!

Not as good a read as her novels: Dangerous Inheritance, Innocent Traitor or The Captive Queen. Contrary to the aforementioned, a bit dry for my liking, yet full of the fruits of her historical research.
