Like most other people, I took Spanish in high school and promptly forgot almost all of it. I also never really understood the structure of Spanish. I've tried other Spanish courses that taught me phrases, but that method was only as good as my ability to memorize what I was learning; it was difficult to apply the lessons to other areas of Spanish. However, I have absolutely enjoyed this course and the way that it teaches you the basics of Spanish so that you can actually speak the language rather than parrot phrases. At times the course seems to drag, but the recall and repetition is good for really absorbing the concepts, so I'm thankful for that. It's also a little light on vocabulary, but that's easy enough to fill in myself. As I've already stated, I'm interested in learning to speak Spanish, not just in memorizing words and phrases.
