Unabridged Audiobook
Absolutely the best book I have ever read on mental health. The author's honest, first-hand experience of depression, the ways and costs of coping with it, the imperfect healthcare system, the stigmas that still exist in society and the little practical treasures of everyday life that help us survive. All with a healthy dose of sarcasm and humour. I cried and laughed. Bravo!
Chaotic at first and then depressingly exposing of the confusing range of therapies and therapists and the pot luck involved in finding the right one for you. The chaos was merely a searingly honest account of a suffering mind and the numerous conditions and crises Michelle Thomas suffered. You have to go through all this with her to get the message that there is help and to know your own mind is key to recognising impending crisis, avoiding situations and people who will set them off.
it was funny, very frank, and informative
