Date: January 2006

Duration: 3 hours 39 minutes

Summary:

Aeschylus here dramatizes the myth of the curse on the royal house of Argos. The action begins when King Agamemnon, returning victorious from the Trojan War, is treacherously slain by his wife. It ends with the trial of their son, Orestes, who slew his mother to avenge her treachery.

Unfortunately, the " dramatic" voices and the distortion used to make one voice sound like many ruined the listening experience for me. The book, which is required reading for a class, may have been more enjoyable if the narration wasn't so distracting.
