Peter and the Shadow Thieves

Unabridged Audiobook

Written By: Ridley Pearson, Dave Barry

Narrated By: Jim Dale

Publisher: Brilliance Audio

Date: June 2006

Duration: 11 hours 3 minutes

In this riveting and adventure-packed follow-up to the award-winning New York Times bestseller Peter and the Starcatchers, Peter leaves the relative safety of Mollusk Island - along with his trusted companion, Tinker Bell - for the cold, damp, dangerous streets of London. On a difficult journey across the sea, he and Tink discover the dark and deadly slithering part-man/part-creature Lord Ombra, who is intent on recovering the missing starstuff - celestial dust that contains unimagined powers. In London, Peter attempts to track down the indomitable Molly, hoping that together they can combat Ombra's determined forces. But London is not Mollusk Island; Peter is not the boy he used to be; and Lord Ombra - the Shadow Master - is unlike anything Peter, or the world, has ever seen.

if only Jim dale could narrate every book ???? he's honestly the best I've ever encountered.

I loved it! Of course, that was my favorite story when I was a kid and this one, written by Dave Barry, is great! Lots of adventure and flying and magic and bad guys...really scary bad guys! I felt like a kid again listening to the story on the way home from work. It's better to listen first to the other Peter Pan story written by Dave Barry (available here, but I forget the name!)

What a wonderful follow up to Peter & the Starcatchers. This book is not for the young - just like the first book, scary and gory details on life in England in the early 1900s. Jim Dale is a wonderful reader. Only a hint of Harry Potter characters. Make certain that you read/listen to Peter & the Starcatchers first.
