Unabridged Audiobook
She’s really really really hard to listen to. I may be overly sensitive, as I’ve done voice overs for years, but even my partner walked into a room where I had the book playing and he asked why I wanted to listen to a shill woman screaming at me. It gets worse if you speed it up. I liked the content ok though. It was informative.
This book is better when you listen to it. My company purchased it for us and I struggled to read the book. I did find the strategies helpful and plan on using them with my leadership team
I am glad I listened to this book but I really want a hard copy so I can return to sections and make notes. As someone who consistently finds herself in the “ruinously empathetic” quadrant, fearing that I’ll be the bad guy or hurt someone’s feelings, this book serves as an excellent reminder that my fear is ultimately self-serving and counterproductive. It also contains excellent hints on how to get out of - and stay out of - the detrimental quadrants and use radical candor to create & maintain a functional, productive team.
Great book!
This book helped made me fine tune some business principles that I recently learned while obtaining my M.B.A. The simple techniques could be used to achieve every day goals and dreams as well.
Good information. Narrator was good. Would enjoy a followup book in a few years.
Content was OK... only goes so deep with a topic. The writer in my opinion uses too many four letter words than what is called for. Quoting someone is one thing but otherwise not really called for in a book like this. The author narrates the book and is very dry and monotone. This book is nowhere near the top of my list of great leadership books.
Great book- I really enjoyed the points of view that I needed in my own life working with people.
Life changing! Especially for a young or new manager. Definitely a great read (or in this case, listen).
