This was an exciting story of how Sharpe met up with Harper and the other riflemen. Cornwall does the best battle scene I have read. The story of Spain's battle against Napoleon is very interesting. The country side sounds beautiful. Now I would like to take a trip to Spain and Portugal and follow the battles of Napoleon. The reader was good.

This was one of Bernard Cornwell's best. There is never a dull moment in this adventure. Sharpe is at his very best.

Did not enjoy the audio book at all. Could not get past the first chapter of the audio book and returned it the next day.
