Unabridged Audiobook
Regarding the narrators, I found two excellent but the male narrator most irritating - unless I’m making a mistake - he, as Frank, continually addressed his wife as ‘Max’. I haven’t a copy of the printed book but I would have imagined that the author’s version was ‘Mags’. I found the insistant pronunciation as ‘Max’ disconcerting, for a nano-second visualising a male character. This mispronunciation was not used by the female readers. I found the novel moving, descriptive of feeling, reasonably deep in its exploration of the mind. It took an emotional subject and resisted the emotionalism of chick-lit. I would recommend it with provisos.
