This novel has really inconsistent pacing. I wanted to stop reading it so many times during the first half of it. It turns from a full on character story about Rachel to a action packed thriller in the second half. The first half could have been condensed to 50 or so pages. Her searching for her father and childhood was pointless to the rest of the story.
I'm not too sure about this one. I really wanted to like it but was so bored by it. There were several things that just didn't make sense to me either... But they are spoilers...
Was ok. I expected more from author. Was repetitive for me in storyline. Liked narration however.
As good as all the reviewers have promised. Story kept you hooked.
Very good listen. Book had lots of twists and turns. Enjoyed the story and how it kept you questioning what was the truth. Excellent narration
I like Dennis Lehane, especially the cops & bad guys genre. This book starts a little slow, but really gets going midway and grabs you until the end.
