each chapter is more enlightening than the previous.
Challenging & thought provoking historical presentation of social, political & legal implications of segregation, assimilation & anti-racial theories at work in American history.
This book breaks down the history of racism in America. It goes from the transatlantic slave trade to the nomination of President Obama. Not only does it challenge the power structures manufactured inferior title of black people but challenges the acceptance of that labeling by elite black people. This book is a must read for anyone unknowingly and knowingly uneducated on the history of racism towards black people in America
Is reverse racism still racism? yes it is. If you want to support racial division and put money in the pocket of a race grifter, then this book is for you!
Thank you to Kendi. This book deepens the solid foundation of the horror of systemic racism in our Government’s policies. It brings a critical eye to the history surrounding the false glorification of white peoples world of privilege. I’m grateful to have read it and now I see the “Black History “ course I took in high school as a drop in the ocean.
WoW! You gave us all the receipts!!! This book was very eye opening and thought provoking!
required listening imo
Kendi presents a compelling history of racism and black history in the United States since the 1600s through the Obama presidency. The author and narrator speak in a neutral calm tone that instills more confidence in the text. I learned about many people who proved they were equal to any white man, such as Phillis Wheatley. I highly recommend this book.
