Summary
The most highly-anticipated novel in the Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series since Acheron is here—the unforgettable story of Styxx, Acheron's twin brother and one of the most powerful beings on earth

Just when you thought doomsday was over . . .

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge.

As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn't always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. But it was never a task she relished. Until now.

She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line. Styxx and Acheron must put aside their past and learn to trust each other or more will suffer.

Yet it's hard to risk your own life for someone who once tried to take yours, even when it's your own twin, and when loyalties are skewed and no one can be trusted, not even yourself, how do you find a way back from the darkness that wants to consume the entire world? One that wants to start by devouring your very soul?

It always amazes me how Sherrilyn Kenyon can bring so much emotion into her characters and change your opinion about them so fundamentally. This book goes hand in hand with one of the previous ones, Acheron. That is not so hard to understand, seeing how Styxx is Acherons twin brother. I didnt think Styxx would be so good as it was. I thought that I would always see Acheron as the bigger and better of the two brothers. That was until i read this book. You get an amasing insight to thousands of years of hurt and strengh. Undying love have seldom been portraied so well and I have to say that it was a long time ago a book could make me cry so hard. When you dont think you have anymore tears you will find yourself crying anew at this impressive story. I reccommend that you read atleast Night Pleassures, Night Embrace and Acheron if you dont want to read all the previous books, before Reading Styxx. These books will give you some background story to Styxx and what happends, from another point of view. It goes to show that there really is three ways to a story: yours, theirs and the truth.

This is a great Audio book to listen to. At first I was a little disappointed that it had a different narrator, but this narrator was just as good. I am not going to give away the story but in short you get to know the other twin’s account of what happened and why they are the way they are. There is always two parts to a story.
