Unabridged Audiobook
This was the second to last book in the Stanhope series I've been reading during Covid; love every single one of them, but the Moth Catcher somehow grasped me even more, I listened to it and got through it it no time. The narrator is great, except I find that she makes Joe A. sound a little dim, that's my only criticism. I love every story that Ann Cleeves writes and she is my absolute favorite. 10 yrs ago I read the Shetland books, now I want to listen to them after I finish "The darkest evening". The sensitive character observations, the landscapes and pictures she paints with words, delicious!!!!!
An outstanding story. Above all, Ann Cleeves is a storyteller. Great characters that hold your interest along with the nagging mystery. We've listened to two books by Ann Cleeves both narrated by different women and they're both excellent readers. Highly recommended.
It was a very enjoyable book. I liked the narration too so I am giving a five star rating for both. I thought the characters were very well-developed and it kept me guessing until the end.
