Wow!! Michelle absolutely killed reading this as Britney. This is a must listen if you are a 90’s baby.

Britney I can't imagine how hard this book was to write !! But at the Sametime how healing !! It pulls at my heart strings!! As a mom of a daughter who went thru some similar things miscarriages and infertility!! To having 2 handsome liltte boys and a custody battle and post partum depression in her 20's ! I couldn't imagine not being there every sec of my baby girl struggles to listen and hug and comfort her in her biggest battles in life !! There were so many moments in your book that I wished I could of just reached out and given you a mother's hugs !! Britney your beautiful inside and out and don't ever let anybody tell you otherwise and dim your light!! I may not be your Momma but I just want you to know I super proud of you

i wasn’t going to rate this but tbh britney literally deserves every star in the world so nothing but 5 stars for a woman speaking her truth, and the generous vulnerability and intimate insight into her heart. my literal heart and tears on a silver platter in return. i loved that she set a boundary and only read the prologue in her own voice for the audiobook. michelle williams did an incredible job narrating. in awe of britney’s strength. i hope she gets to see every stunning ocean sunset she wants to for the rest of all time.

Behind the Story of a True Superstar. This book is going to be one of the best, most honest celebrity memoirs we ever will have. Britney Spears is an absolute living legend and symbol for perseverance and strength, especially for females.

I’m a literary fiction fan and not much for pop culture, but I have to say that this was an interesting memoir, and the narration was very good.

Very transparent. So sad to see what all she went through but so glad she sees it like it was.

Such a strong and sad icon story that ultimately proves that in the end, good always will prevail. Britney Spears is a testament to strength and perseverance and a symbol to every woman that faces challenges based on a society that tries to silence female voices and female power.

Sad story, Michelle Williams did a great job reading, so it seems. Being a woman I really don’t grasp the title even after listening to the whole book. In fact it would seem by the end that there isn’t really a lot of woman in Brit to begin with. Maybe “Building the woman in me” would have been more appropriate?

I cannot believe all that Britany endured through that time period under that nightmarish conservatorship. She definitely didn’t deserve any of that, no one does, especially to that extent, love my a**… YOU DO YOU GIRL, lord knows you deserve it!!! Thank you for being the voice for others as well.

Anyone who ever had any opinion about Brittany Spears would love this book, and the narrator was simply excellent.

All I can say is “WOW”. This was an emotional ride. Michelle knocked it out of the park! I cannot even fathom what Britney has been through. Her book really paints the picture of what she suffered over the years, as well as what fame and GREED can do. I believe these health issues her dad is having present day is f’ing Karma.

I love memoirs and this one has to be the best one that I’ve listened to. I never paid much attention to the Free Britney movement in the past, and frankly, I was just sick of hearing about Britney Spears day in, day out. However, this book moved me. I always try to be a good person, but after reading this book, I’m disappointed in how there can be people, even family members, who behave in such a sick manner for their own gain! Britney, I hope you find comfort every day in your journey to heal.

At first I wasn’t interested because of the narration but then I quickly changed my mind. Beautifully told story and I can’t get “Fo Shiz, fo shiz” out of my head. I say it daily. lol I felt sad reading about all of the turmoil that Britney had gone through. But then I was happy to know that she’s a fighter. I want to know more about her childhood though. I feel like there’s so much more to be said there. But we shall see.

I would recommend this book. It tells her side of the story and the narrator did a great job and even sounded like Britney -Michelle Williams is impressive in reading this book with her acting experience made it even more interesting.

The Britney I Didn’t Know

Super sad but interesting.

I honestly couldn’t put this one down. As someone who grew up listening to and watching Britney Spears, I found it almost cathartic to read her version of events. I cannot imagine what she had to go through. It really makes you think, “how would I have handled this situation if it were me in her shoes?”

The book was great. I’ve always been and Britney fan and always will. Michelle Williams narration was boring. I wish Britney read it herself.

The book jumped around a lot. Happy to hear Brittany tell her story but Michelle reading her words was off and made it hard to enjoy. Brittany should of read it herself.

Not as good as I expected.. really boring.

Must read for all Britney fans. I was not impressed with the narration. I have listened to many audio books and in my opinion, there is much better options than Michelle Williams.
