Roger McGough, born in Liverpool, England, is one of that country's most celebrated poets. He is the author of more than fifty books and has written numerous scripts, including the script for the Beatles' film Yellow Submarine. In 1986 his lyrics for the Broadway production of The Wind in the Willows received a Tony nomination. Roger is also the two-time recipient of the U.K.'s Signal Poetry Award and a British O.B.E.
