Summary
Joe Dispenza, DC, has spent decades studying the human mind-how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!? he began to explain how the brain evolves-by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche.

Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind, explaining how thoughts can create chemical reactions that keep you addicted to patterns and feelings-including ones that make you unhappy. And when you know how these bad habits are created, it's possible to not only break these patterns, but also reprogram and evolve your brain, so that new, positive, and beneficial habits can take over.

Humbug. Nonsense. Rubbish. BS. Poppycock. Fluff. Pseudoscience. Bunk. Gibberish. If you believe there is a chance healing crystals might be a real thing, this book may be right for you. If on the other hand you have even a single toe on the plane of rationalism, do not bother with this book. I want my money back.

I got about four hours into this waffling journey of biology lessons and spiritualism before giving up. I can't fathom how it's rated so highly.

I'm not finished yet but the content is fantastic, you need to respect your time relaxed and focused to hear it. A lot of specific and scientific words are told.

Extremely informative if you like a lot of anatomy and physiology, which is most of the book. The most fascinating part for me was the part about how he decided he was going to recover from the accident.

Pure pseudoscience. The narrator has a good voice, though.

The narrator is excellent. Having an old contemplating professor voice alone makes this a relaxing listen. Aside from that it is a genuinely good book. At first you might be worried that it is just interesting anecdotes, while it is waxing poetry about the magical brain. It is an interesting factual into to neurology however, with practical advice that works, if you remember to use them. Really hearhy 10/10 recommend from me.

The biggest education I learned is that we have the ability to change the way our brain sends our physical body a pattern of reactions. Sometimes good patterns and sometimes poor patterns. Recognize results of your bad choice pattern. This requires you to be honest which likely is a painful acknowledgement. Make a change to this continuous unhealthy, non productive brain producing whole body physical memory pattern. Do this even though it is not your previous pattern. You can just make new actions that will make a new pattern. Your brain and body evolves by you finding your ability to change bad patterns. Work at it. This will require you to be honest, reactive and constant.

Truely inspiring. Mind over matter gets a completely new meaning.

I absolutely love this author. His detail on how he moved through recovering from his dreadful accident was an excellent example of what the brain can achieve – and how.

I read some of the reviews...what contrasts. I guess you either can believe your brain is powerful or you don't. There is a bit of simplicity in his samples of instant cure (why not do a randomized blind study) that belies the power of his argument. Big picture, he is right. I developed tinnitus just before I started this book. I already knew much of the theories he would present, since he did not invent them . Still I learned. Tinnitus is not curable and I use his tools successfully to stop the sound, whenever it starts. Thank you.

If you appreciate scientific accuracy, careful research or proven facts, then don't be misled by the many 4 and 5 star reviews of this book. A lot of people also think highly of The Secret. If you didn't enjoy The Secret you probably won't enjoy this, either.
