Never Let Me Go

Great book. Great narrator.

Reading was clear and I found it especially helpful how the narrator have each character an almost distinctive voice.

I thought the narration here was a bit cold and stiff. I kept wanting to feel engaged with the story, but it never quite pulled me in. It was interesting enough, in an odd, murky sort of way, that I refused to completely give up on it, but it was work to make it to the end of this audiobook.

The book itself is fine, not exactly fun but lots of deep and meaningful thought-provoking cleverness. The narrator, however, sounds like she's seeing it for the first time as she records it. Her intonation doesn't match the sentence structures or nuance of what's being said, and her character voices turn very complex characters in intricate interactions into cartoon characters. Even when she gets it right it sounds like a text-tohspeechbenhine reading obituaries. There should be better options for such a renowned book.

Fascinating concept!

One of the worst books I have ever read. There’s barely a story scribbled in the pages between the copious backward telling of “information”. Also could the author be less creative with his word choice and phrase choices? Somebody get this man a thesaurus for Christmas. I don’t get what all the hubbub and accolades are for this book...

It was god, but at the same time not..

Loved this book, very interesting, characters really pull you into the story and make you want to real more. Author did a great job going through past and present time to conduct his feelings towards the humanity of clones.

It was an okay book.

I really enjoyed this book. It's not a horror story but, it is haunting. The ideas presented are disturbing and thought provoking, while the characters are well developed and highly relatable. The narrator is wonderful. I definately recommend this book!
