We may come from different places and ethnicities and speak different languages, but the thread of human experience binds us all. These commonalities are the fodder for all expressive art forms, including poetry. When a poet pens profoundly emotional and personal ideas, emotions, and experiences through the rhythmic arrangements of words, the prosaic transforms into poetry. Poems have always held a special place in my life journey as I transitioned from a young boy from a middle-class Rajasthani family to an NRI and owner of multiple businesses in the US and India. Poems, especially those by great Indian poets like Gulzar Sahab, have inspired me, given me solace in trying times, and given me a quiet joy that is almost indescribable. The book is a collection of poems inspired by my life events and relationships. It is my tribute to the people I have cherished most; but also, to the renowned poets before me whose works have given me the courage to find my own poetic voice.It is my sincere hope that the poems in this book will help you transcend, even if momentarily so, to a place of peaceful joy and contentment
