THE SUNDAY TIMES AND NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

From the author of THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO and the bestselling MALIBU RISING

'I LOVE it . . . I can't remember the last time I read a book that was so fun' DOLLY ALDERTON

Everybody knows Daisy Jones and the Six.

Their sound defined an era. Their albums were on every turntable. They sold out arenas from coast to coast.

Then, on 12 July 1979, Daisy Jones walked barefoot onto the stage at Chicago Stadium. And it all came crashing down.

Everyone was there.

Everyone remembers it differently.

Nobody knew why they split. Until now . . .

'The verdict: Daisy Jones steals the limelight' STYLIST

'I didn't want this book to end' FEARNE COTTON

'Utterly believable . . . fantastically enjoyable' THE TIMES

'Pitch perfect' SUNDAY TIMES

'Well observed, sensitively told . . . a great read' BBC

'A tremendously engaging, and completely believable tale of rock and roll excess... inventive, persuasive and completely satisfying' DYLAN JONES

'I spent a lost weekend in this book. Daisy Jones is an instant icon' ERIN KELLY

'DAISY JONES & THE SIX is a transporting novel - at once a love story, a glimpse into the combustible inner workings of a rock-and-roll band, and a pitch-perfect recreation of the music scene of the Fleetwood Mac era. You'll never want it to end' CECILIA AHERN

'Once in a blue moon you get to discover a book you end up pressing upon many other people to read. Taylor Jenkins Reid has got every nuance, every detail exact and right. I loved every word' PAUL REES

'So brilliantly written I thought all the characters were real . . . I couldn't put it down' EDITH BOWMAN

'Explosive . . . a gorgeous novel and a ravishing read' SUNDAY EXPRESS

'The characters leap off the page, seducing you with their dramas, and making you wish the band was real' HEAT

'The heady haze of the 70s music scene, and a perfectly flawed Daisy, combine to create a fresh, rock n roll read. I loved it' ALI LAND, author of Good Me Bad Me

One of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. And I think this book is better than Evelyn Hugo.

I do not get the attraction of this it was so boring I urge you to check out the format befire buying as it ‘reads’ like a documentary. It might be more interesting if it was about a real band but it didn’t even have that merit. Nothing happens there is no plot at all and personally I found Daisy unlikeable. Theye are all just really pretentious and not very interesting characters.

Enjoyable and engaging. Felt more like a true story than fiction. Loved the concept and the format it was delivered. I watch the prime series afterwards. I didnt like some of the changes. I kept thinking how did the band agree to thhat change... had to keep reminding myself that the book wasnt real life or base on a true story.

At first I didn’t know how to take it, it sounded like a documentary not a novel, and I didn’t like it, but in the end it was actually so good, so worth my time. Really good story, haven’t read anything like this before!

Loved the story, I’m so glad I read it before I saw the show.

In the style of ‘he said, she said!’ I wasn’t expecting that but really enjoyed it nonetheless. The numerous narrators really did help depict the different characters. Easy to listen to in one go.

I honestly found the ending disappointing

Profile Avatar Anonymous Mar 2023

Had been putting off listening to this one, afraid that it couldn't, or wouldn't live up to the hype... feeling pretty stupid about that now. So good it was very hard to stop listening to once starting. Original but reminiscent, fun but poignant, amazing but realistic, escapist but visceral - just the right balance for me.

If you love juicy 'on the road' stories of rock n roll with all it's debauchery, misconstrued intentions and good times, you'll want to binge-listen this book! The cast narrate to perfection the yearning and pitfalls of love and fame set in rock n roll's flagship 70s.

Profile Avatar Georgia May 2021

Wasn't sure about the style of writing at first but fell in love with this book almost immediately! Took me a while to realise it was fiction, after failed attempts to Google and find the songs on Spotify! was almost disappointed but made me love the book even more! So many great topics touch on in the book that we're so relevant to me. Cried at the end, sign of a good book! must read!

I just loved this from beginning to end. Took me back to my wild early 20’s when I was foot loose and fancy free. Loved the characters, storyline and narrators. Great listening thank you!

Profile Avatar Ramya K. Apr 2019
