Unabridged Audiobook
I’m about halfway through, and i love it. This book has some great information B and it helps you understand a lot. Its gut Wrenching. It’s enlightening and its accurate.
Half of the book has workable information. It could have done with an editor on the narration though. The narrators voice is soothing and she has sort of a Drew Barrymore vibe but it felt like a raw first pass narration that includes stumbling on words, awkward pauses, and mispronunciations to the point of the text not making sense in some spots. I did find this book helpful as I begin to dive into my relationship with my own Mother but I have a feeling there is better stuff out there.
This book has really talked about a few people I know.. I found so much information in the book to be eye opening. The way it explains what narcissism is and how to recognize when a person is narcissistic. It is also great at explaining how to gain back your life that a narcissistic person choose to take away. Such a great read and very informative.
This book answers almost all of the questions about the people having this type of personality disorder. It will save you a lot of grief and lost investments trying to work with them. So, give yourself a head start in dealing with them. Weather you learn to avoid them or to manipulate them in return, this is the foundation to evaluating them and avoiding their traps.
Many people will be surprised to learn that there are several different subtypes and manifestations of narcissism. The cerebral narcissist is the individual who believes they are intellectually much more capable. The cerebral narcissist is all about impressing others with their mental prowess. They are generally very meticulous about their appearances and will do anything to maintain their looks. I want to prefer this guide for people. Grateful!
The book is very reader friendly! Read in one sitting! Very enlightening! A must read book with 75 very REAL questions asked about these 'strange' human beings. The ANSWERS are straight-forward, factual and expose hidden secrets.
Painfully accurate. The author uses confusing, antiquated syntax in a way that makes is bulky for the audiobook reader to have to read. It is definitely be cumbersome to have to listen to via audiobook because of this, but the reader does her best to make it read easily. Not sure if it would be better or worse if you actually read the book instead of listening.
Every person dealing with a narcissist mother in their life will feel relief be changed after reading this book.
As a child who grew up under a narcissist I wish I had this book years ago. This book was very eye-opening to the narcissist in our every day lives.
A good book for anyone suffering from narcissistic parents. If you feel like you'll never be good enough, read this book. Very insightful book. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with a narcissistic mother.

This book points out to certain abusive personalities and behaviors, like with mum, and how to be able to respond to it, and not be stuck in its trauma bonds. Buy it. You won't regret it. You'd definitely learn something new, useful, and applicable to your own life.
Encouraging words were just what I needed from this, it has right in most therapists don’t have a clue in dealing with this sickness and I did experience.
