Abridged Audiobook
Usually enjoy for light reading the womans murder club books but I ejected this from my stero after, described in some detail, an idiot took a metal pipe to a small dog. What are you thinking Jim?
You still can't go wrong with Patterson. Even if you start reading with the 6th, you aren't confused about storyline and characters because he updates so slyly. Great listen...
Awesome, I love this narrator. There's also great sound effects and mood music with intense passages .
I almost sent this book back after the 1st CD. Boring. Not worth the time and money to rent it. For as long as it takes to get another book mailed to me, I went ahead and listened, but not worth it.
I totally agree with what Linda had to say about this book , on August 13th, 2007
This is not Patterson's best. You get the idea that he was "writing to meet a deadline" not writing for the love of it, or to make a point or something. Thin characters, to many plots. The narration was even just so-so.
This was not my favorite book in the series. It was more a trial based case and less of the club. I prefer the books where all the characters have more of a role and you can get involved with the club.
I was too grossed out by all of the killing. It was too much bullets flying and blood. Not too original. Also every time a chapter was announced it sounded like she was under water. It disrupted the flow.
I love the Women's Murder Club series, but this one went a little astray...too many plots at once and the love story for Lindsey was paper thin.
While I still like the series and it was good enough, I felt it jumped around a bit too much without any tie-ins. Perhaps it was because I listen while driving to and from work so I'd have to remember back when it would switch to the other story line.
Enjoyed another of the Women's Murder Club series. Murder on the ferry. I have rode the ferry and could just picture in my mind the scene painted by Patterson. I think I enjoy the setting of San Francsico as much as the story. Good book to go for a walk with.
Great book! I absolutly love James Patterson. Can't wait to get another one.
I am a fan of this series and this one did not disappoint - a great story.
Well written, well voiced, mostly well produced. One complaint: the "sting" of music and chapter number announcement between chapters. It breaks up the pacing and takes too long. It's as though I'm being forced to stop, point at the number, say it out loud, pause, then resume reading. At about 5 seconds between chapters, with well over 100 chapters, I want those 3+ minutes of my life back. Other than that, a fun ride!
This was my first Patterson book and I was not impressed with the writing style or it's ability to keep me engaged. Quite a forgetable read.
Another great book by James Patterson! Kept the interest, at one point in the book I was almost in tears. Looking forward to 7th Heaven.
Not as good as the other Women's Murder Club books. I still enjoyed it, but it really seemed like 3 separate shorter stories wrapped up under 1 cover. And frankly, I thought the end was rather slapped together. Still - I'm glad I read it. I'm just hoping #7 is back up to Pattersons's standards.
Very good book, unfortunately I had already listened to it once before.....good enough for another time though!
Overall, a good one to listen to. It was interesting and help my interest. I did not love it, but overall worth the time.
Another home run! Lindsey hits it out of the ball park...and this one kept me on edge to the very end...I was SOO sad during the events of one part..but the end takes care of it...and the rest just basically was a damn good story line. Patterson may be making mistakes by writing with others, but when he writes these by himself, he does a fantastic job! Come on, James..stick to yourself..you are a DAMN FINE WRITER all on own, you don't need anyone else's byline.
Just OK in my opinion not up to Pattersons standards. Seemed like it was disjointed, and other cases were mixed and I could find no relevence in them to the central murder mystery case. I really enjoyed the other Women's Murder Club stories but this was not one I would recommend. Overall a disappointment.
