I began listening to this book in a state of aimless wandering, lacking purpose and passion in life and work. The teachings and insights have been nothing short of inspiring for the mind, body and spirit. Truly glad I decided to listen.

I thought that Covey's book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was superb and a great listen. Unfortunately, to me this new book The 8th Habit doesn't come close. Covey's style of reading makes the particular book hard to listen to as drones on with his monotone voice to the point of boredom. In addition, the content of the book didn't offer me anything that I didn't already know. I was disappointed in this book, but still thank Covey for the first one in which the 7 habits are covered.

Having heard such glowing reviews of Steve Covey and the 7 habits, it was with great expectation that I started to listen to the 8th habit audio. I was very dissapointed. There was a sense of artificialness about it - with little sense of focus. Would not recommend this one.

Always great!! Love this! Everyone needs to read these "habit" books - you always take something home with you...

I enjoyed hearing this book, but thought that in order to be truly meaningful it needs to be read as a book in lieu of listened to as an audio book. It is impossible to really stop wherever you are and slide in a video. I generally listen to books while driving, so I could not reasonably stop the book and watch the video. I did enjoy it enough to be seriously considering buying the book so that I could read it as the author originally intended.

This has been the best audiobook so far. The dvd that goes with it really hits home. In fact I would like to buy this program....I'm not going to send this back. I can see real value here. This needs to be used every 4 months to remember all this.

This book was a little more lengthly than I would have liked. The couple of disks were a waste of time and almost caused me to stop listening. The additional videos were unnecessary. I listen while commuting and was not about to stop listening so that I could watch a video. Although containing good concepts the book seemed to be a rambling of various learned discoveries by the author. I would have like a more succinctly organized presentation.

What a differt world we would live in if all these principles were lived by and all of us "found our voice" and helped others to do the same. I found this and the "7 Habits" book to be very enlightening into human behavior and was at the same time very challenged by both of them. I will never look at conflict and challenges in my personal or business life the same again. Having a "win-win" philosophy is so much better than win-lose or lose-win that are so traditional in corporate America. I found the both books lengthy but they still held my interest all the way through

I truly enjoyed this book both on tape and in print. We are reading it in our Supervisor team at work and I requested in on tape in order to make it easier to complete the "reading". Stephen Covey has some great ideas to help both yourself and others "find their voice". I recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their worth in addition to those who are in a formal leadership position over others.

Although I was hoping that I would get something out of being able to listen to this marvelous book while commuting to and from work, I found that this type of book is better for me when I read it. I'm looking forward to picking up a copy to read soon.
