This is a great book to listen to for a short review of LEAN concepts and is just a bit dated because of many of the companies referenced. This should not be your first exposure to LEAN or to James Womack...you may be disappointed. I found the content useful and refreshing but perhaps not as good as other books on the subject. Still, the author has a great wealth of knowledge so why not tap it by listening for yourself?
If you are looking for practical advice on implementing lean, this isn't the right book. Womack has others for that. If you are interested in hearing about how companies can improve in the area of customer relations, from a lean viewpoint, this is the book for you. Its also a good book for simply hearing and thinking about lean from a philosophical standpoint.
Too generic. Didn't get any new insights into this topic after the first 2 CDs so I stopped.
