another stellar book from Burke. Never disappoints. Cleat plays a HUGE role in this and it does not disappoint. Bill Paxon is awesome and 50% of the reason I listen to Burke.
Enjoyed the descriptions of western Montana and of New Orleans. The story moved right along and was well written . The reader did a good job. But I felt sort of down after reading this book. I sure hope the world is not as evil a place as this story indicates. At least the good guys (if you could call them that) won in the end.
Very brutal and sadistic murders - not my cup of tea - characters equally ugly.
There is an audience for this book, but it is not for people who like English country house murders!
