Unabridged Audiobook
I had already read the complete series, but hearing a good narrator was a great experience. I enoyed listening to it.
Love The Mortal Instrument Series - a good read to get your mind away from reality and relax with a fun read! Narration was nice.
saw the movie and began to the books. have really enjoyed the books but really preferred the narrator from the first book. she did a much better job with voices and the different characters.
Love this book series.
Love this seires
Great book to listen to.
Excellent love Cassie Clare !!!
Jace and clary forever but for the readers of the first book jace and clary :( they are meant to be together.<3
I love how these stories span decades.
Although the series is aimed toward young adults the story is surprisingly pretty good. It can get a little cheesy, and the romance can get a bit to mooshy a times. But the plot is remarkably good. I started out reading a different book altogether a short time ago, and wound up picking up the first book in this series by chance and have yet to put it or the following books in the series down.
Great series and I enjoyed the narrator in this book better than the first. Can’t wait to start the next book.
Narrator was way better in the first, hard time with the monotone in this one Series is really good!!
Amazing book
Love the a mortal instruments series. Great narrating too. Looking forward to book 3 City of Glass
Great narrator, every character had their own voice.
Fantastic. So much satisfaction, yet so many cliffhangers. It's the recipie for a thrilling read!
Narration for City of Ashes is great! Great story and narration! I recommend anyone to give the mortal instruments a read!
This story is far more intriguing then the movie. I am taking a break before continuing to the third book!
I’m the first to admit I wasn’t a huge Mortal Instruments fan. I read the first book and hated the first half, but loved the second half. Still, I never had the desire to continue on with the series. I felt the heroine was very immature in the books and I didn’t like that. I have to say, this is one of the first times I’ve actually liked the movie better than a book. The movie also reignited my interest in the series. I found the actress who played Clary in the movie didn’t come off as immature and now when I read about Clary, I just picture the actress instead of the image I had when reading book 1. Much better. Anyway, Clary is growing on me as the series progresses. I wasn’t too keen on her jumping right into a relationship with Simon, especially considering her feelings for Jace, but I understood it. She’s a teenager and a boy she cares about is in love with her. She doesn’t want to hurt him by admitting she doesn’t feel the same way for him. I think that kind of thing comes with maturity. One of the things I really love about the Mortal Instruments is the world Cassandra Clare has built. It’s quite elaborate, which is probably why it took me so long to get into book one, a lot of world building. But once that’s done the whole concept of the story is awesome. I really enjoyed this one, and this time I liked it enough to straight to book three.
Book: Great sequel. There are just as many new surprises here as the first book and ends with just as many questions. Simon evolves into a stronger character and Jace becomes a more desirable hero. Yummy. Narration: Slight monotone voice. Dialogue voice did not quite meet up to expectations, example, character clearly exclaiming but narrator's voice does not. Lack of dramatic 'tone' that in some ways ruined dramatic scenes.
book good. reader read good :-P (seriously, though...)
i love this book but i cant stand the narration i wish they would have stuck with the same person reading it for the series but i guess you cant have everything
