Unabridged Audiobook
Thin very thin. Does not hold interest
Narrator did a good job. But the book wasn’t great. I’ve read a bunch of these “cozy mystery” series now, Thursday murder club being the best and Marlow murder club being a step down. Compared To those two the plotting of this mystery, the characters, their investigating, the suspects, the killer and their motive are all a real disappointment. The murderer and their motive especially really let me down. Also, I get that they’re amateurs, but the fact that they don’t check the alibis of any suspects at any points in this story drove me absolutely insane. I wanted to like it but I won’t be reading any of the other books in this series
Enjoyable story, great, funny characters. Expertly read.
What a disappointment! They copied the look of Thursday Murder Club Mysteries and touted it as similar. Very poor quality of character development, plot development and generally unlikeable.
Classic cozy mystery, including at least one eye roll. It isn’t a cozy mystery, regardless of the time and place of the setting, unless at least one character rolls their eyes. Solid character and plot construction. Somewhat superior to other books in the genre in the fun and good humor of the writing style. An amusing book.
An utterly delightful listen. Intriguing, funny and entertaining. The ending was a little disappointing, but forgiven in the light of the who,e
